Pask Lowen! ... Happy Easter!
Enjoy a Peaceful and Delightful Easter!
Jim got into politics in 1990s when he campaigned on behalf of farmers suffering from OP poisoning from sheep dipping, speaking in the House of Commons, with help from Liberal Democrat MPs, including Colin Breed and Paul Tyler. Most of Jim's farming career was on a rented Council farm in Downderry where with his wife Marian, he raised 4 sons, until he retired in 2018. Jim farmed organically after 1999, with the emphasis on habitat management, especially on the land at Hannafore, which was added to his tenancy, Jim served on the Parish Council for 20 years, and Caradon District Council then Cornwall Council until 2017. He has also served on the Executive of SE Cornwall Lib Dems, including spells as Chair. Since retiring Jim has learnt to swim, in the sea all year round, avoiding sewage dumping. Jim and his wife spend time looking after their grandchildren and visiting their son in France.
A Fairer society: Affordable homes for local families; greater control over second homes and holiday rentals
Cost of living: Campaigning to restore free evening parking and abolish the Tamar Tolls
Environment: Tough action to stop sewage discharges into our rivers and sea
Farming: Supporting farmers to deliver food security and manage the countryside
Enjoy a Peaceful and Delightful Easter!

Jim has been expressing the concerns of many local residents (here in Polperro) regarding the blanket roll-out of the new wheelie-bins across Cornwall.
Jim appreciates the important role community groups bring to peoples lives and will support them in any way he can as we all need to support one another.
